Your Role With Us:

Assistant Controller - Finance

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Support the forecasting process by gathering and analyzing financial information.
• Assist in the development of financial forecasts and projections where appropriate.

3. Compliance and Internal Controls:

• Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations, accounting standards and regulations, and internal policies.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.

4. Financial Operations:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including non-patient accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other financial transactions.

Background/Expertise:

Education:

Bachelor Degree - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare finance or accounting, preferably in a health system or hospital setting.
• Minimum of 1 preferably 2 or more years of supervisory experience over a team.

Special knowledge, skills & abilities:

• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Experience with financial systems, ERP software, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
